My musical journey began at an early age as my mother would often play the piano for our family's enjoyment. It was around the age of 6 to the sounds of ragtime that I became obsessed with music. Scott Joplin was my favorite musician at the time. My mother took note and signed me up for lessons. I have been a musician ever since. I picked up saxophone in sixth grade and continued to work hard at both instruments throughout my high school career. I attended Troy University where I studied saxophone with Mr. Ray Smith and was the pianist at First Baptist Church of Troy, AL. I graduated in with honors in 2014 and went on to teach band at Smiths Station High School. I taught beginners and jazz ensembles as well as concert and marching bands. A truly rewarding time. In 2019, I took a job as a saxophonist with the US Air Force Bands. I was afforded the opportunity to serve, travel, and play with some of the finest musicians and in some amazing places for a living. At the end of my term of service I relocated back to Columbus, GA where I reside with my beautiful wife and kids. I look forward to spreading music education in the community.

I credit much of my success to my instructors and the hundreds of private lessons I've taken over the years. Music requires a complex way of thinking to become automatic and doesn't always come quickly or easily; however, I am a firm believer that anyone with the patience, persistence, and drive can be a musician. I hope that I can help you meet your goals.
